Intro to 3D Modelling
What is 3D modelling?
- The process of using computer software to create a representation of a 3-dimensional object or shape
- The object or shape created is called a 3D model
- 3D models are used in a wide variety of industries today including but not restricted to: film, television and video games; architecture; construction; manufacturing; product development; and in the medical and science fields
- The 3D models are typically used to aid in the visualization, simulation and rendering of designs
