This is all about visual storytelling!
Below are the key concepts of Visual Storytelling
Visuals:
- must complement the text titles
- we are selling FUN
- start strong and end strong (1-5 seconds to capture your audience)
- each shot needs to include: action, energy and smiling faces
- choose best clips > best portions of clips > trim clips for good IN & OUT points
- categorize your clips into the different parts of the day
- clips should NOT be placed randomly throughout the trailer storyboard
- must complement the visuals
- should NOT be written literally (ie: we entered the gym; lunch was awesome etc. - these are not exciting and intriguing)
- each title should be written so they flow into the next
- all titles should flow together as though it is a paragraph
Reminder: Duplicate your project at the end of each period and ensure your student # is in the file name.
