- A closeup on the subject or object showing WHAT is happening
- A closeup on the subject's face showing WHO is doing it
- A wide shot showing WHERE it's happening
- An over the shoulder shot (OTS) linking together the three previous concepts
- A creative angle combine with appropriate shot size to provide story-specific context

Part 3: Recording Video (Production Stage)
- Have your teacher review your shot list and storyboard before production
- Choose a production team partner for recording
- You will operate camera and record your idea with your team partner acting for you
- Following your shot list and storyboard record all shots on video (record a few takes/versions of each) and keep notes on your shot list as to which is the best take/version (for post-production editing stage)
- This must be completed at school on school property
- When recording leave padding at the start and end of each take (3-5 seconds so each clip is usable in editing)
- This assignment does not require actors to perform any lines or script, rather the combination of the performance, shot sizes, angles and movements are what will convey your idea and evoke emotion for your audience
Part 4: Editing (Post-production Stage)
- Using Premiere Pro, edit together your 7-12 shot sequence incorporating compressed time; matching action and cutting on action where necessary
- Export as “Student First Name_7 Shot Sequence.mpg" (MPEG2 file)
- Submit the final version of your Premiere Pro project file (.prproj) and .mpg file to the assignment inbox in D2L
