Activity: Photo Scavenger Hunt

Requirements:
- Using the "Scavenger Hunt List" below, choose 5 (minimum) of the ideas to inspire your creation of interesting photos
- Independently, use your personal device (if possible) to create your chosen 5 photos
- For each photo think carefully using past knowledge of "camera composition" to create the most interesting photo of your chosen 5
- Add all photos to a Google Slide with your favourite photo as the first slide
- Only your favourite image will be shared with the class for discussion
- Submit the completed Google Slide to the inbox in D2L
Scavenger Hunt List:
- Reflection: create a photo of a reflection of something in glass/window, water, etc.
- Symmetry: create a photo that looks like one half (top/bottom or left/right) is a mirror image
- Patterns: create a photo of anything that repeats itself
- Straight leading lines: create a photo of a at least two straight lines that enter from any side of the frame and meet towards the middle of the frame
- View straight up: create a photo looking skyward
- Silhouette: create a photo of an object/person silhouetted against a bright background
- Shapes: create a photo of any shape, or, more of a challenge, look to connect prominent objects to form a shape
- Layers: create a photo by using prominent objects in a distinct foreground, mid-ground, and background
- Frame within a frame: create a photo that frames a subject or object with something natural or structural
- Juxtaposition: create a photo highlighting a contrast of ideas, like garbage on the ground in an area next to a “no food/drink” sign
